Hydrated Lime

Hydrated lime is calcium hydroxide a type of dry powder made from limestone. It is created by adding water to quicklime in order to turn oxides into hydroxides.

In water treatment, hydrated lime is primarily used to adjust the PH level of water by raising its alkalinity, making it a key component for softening hard water by precipitating calcium and magnesium ions.

Coated Calcium Carbonate

Calcium carbonate (CaCO3) must be at least 98% pure for its intended uses in order to minimise contaminants.

One important criterion for coated calcium carbonate is its particle size. A common median particle size is between 1 and 10 micrometres, and it is usually managed to satisfy certain specifications.

Dolomite (NL10/NL18)

In order to raise the pH of the soil, which facilitates plant nutrient uptake, dolomite, a mineral, is employed as a soil fertiliser. Dolomite may improve the pH of potting mixes and soil, facilitating plant uptake of nutrients.

Alum

The majority of alums taste acidic and astringent. They exist as a white, crystalline powder and have no colour or smell. Alums may easily precipitate from aqueous solutions to form massive octahedral crystals, and they are often soluble in hot water. Although alums serve a variety of purposes, aluminium sulphate, which is readily obtained by processing bauxite ore with sulphuric acid, has partially replaced them.
